The steps are safe to customize x8
modify sony x8 mobile 300x218 Tips to customize Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Android for New User

SOC rooting with 2.1 x8,  xrecovery install offline charging, 2.1.1.A.0.6 JIT (if you like / optional),  APP2SD titanium, SEUS in case if the phone fails to boot. And other such as changing themes and custom rom framework for x8. Usually new user xperia x8 always in a hurry to run to step app2sd, but it is very important because xrecovery useful for backing up the system, data etc. So if we want to modif further and there is a problem with our modif and just boot up text or logo sony .
we can restore our backup system that already before.
How to root with the SOC:
PC Companion is installed first, the way the usb to plug in later when there are 3 options out dix8. select just install the pc comapanion (x8 aims to introduce the pc)
-          Set usb debuging, enter settings, applications, development, check usb debuging.
-          Open SOC, plug the usb to the pc, click on the SOC root and wait until it comes out notif “device rooted”
-          SOC-close, unplug the usb, restart x8.
-          Completed.

How to install xrecovery:
-          Extract the files already downloaded on the last day there are 4 files (busybox, chargemon, charger, xrecovery.tar)
-          four file (busybox, chargemon, charger, xrecovery.tar) copy to / system / bin root explorer pk
-          Do not forget the root permision Explorer gives a chance to be mounted r / w to copy and paste (upper right corner)
-          after that change permision 3 files from the earlier (busybox, chargemon, xrecovery.tar)
-          how to press and hold a pe file out of options, look for permissions, tick all the boxes there. do all 3 files.
-          just info only, xrecovery could be lost due to install a2sd (increased internal memory)
-          so better install app2sd that look similar titanium backups.

Install jit:
-          After downloading the file jit the above, extract, then there is a folder “jit”
-          put on the sdcard (not in folder)
-          Install using the terminal emulator of the market are more simple.
-          Open a terminal emulator, type the comand:
su (enter) if you first use the terminal will be out notif super user in x8, select “allow”.
cd / sdcard / jit (enter)
sh enable_jit.sh (enter) wait for the process, later x8 will reboot itself.

-          comand that looks at the terminal will be like this:
su
cd / sdcard / jit
sh enable_jit.sh

if you want to uninstall only replace sh enable_jit.sh jit>>> sh disable_jit.sh.

HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM ROM
Shared custom rom there are 2 different forms.
file backup and custom.zip
Before it’s good to see the first install in the zip file / or zip it.

  1. File backup (cache.img, data.img, nandroid.md5, system.img)
  • how to install it:
- Copy and paste the folder that contains the four files to the sdcard / xrecovery / backup.
- Xrecovery menu entry, backup and restore, restore, select the name of the folder.
* Rename the folders do not use a space because then the md5 missmatch!
  • custom.zip (META-INF, system)
how to install the standard, rename the zip file so update.zip, disdcard place (not in that folder!), xrecovery entry, select install update.zip. If the share of custom rom ordered factory reset should be performed. But for me personally always factory reset after the install update.zip
* Do not reset if the factory installed custom rom from the file backup (No.1)
That’s all my tips for new user x8, hopefully help you!
